Jody Bluitt
Jody Jarriet Bluitt, is dynamic and extraordinary man who has a heart for others and strives to give back to his community. Jody grew up in a military household, where he learned discipline, respect, adaptability, strength, compassion, leadership, and gratitude and was taught that with hard work, he could achieve anything. With his father being tragically killed by a drunk driver at the age of eighteen, Jody acted upon the life lessons that his father poured into him and worked exceptionally hard to his education from Northwestern State University after transferring from the renowned HBCU Xavier University to be closer to home for his mother. Because of this tragic life changing even and his struggles as a young man, Jody decided to become a Financial Advisor. Inspired by one of his favorite quotes by Paulo Coelho, author of The Alchemist, “When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better, too.” Jody is extremely passionate about helping other families achieve peace of mind by educating and advising them on financial investment and preparing them to pursue life goals.
Jody started his career straight out of college as a Financial Advisor at Capital One from 2014-2018, where he was originally hired by current WFA Advisors Dany Martin and Stephen Carney. After Capital One Investing closed its doors in February 2018, Jody was recruited by many firms but ultimately chose to work with Merrill Lynch as a Wealth Advisor, where gained a substantial amount of knowledge in wealth management and financial planning. With a desire for independence in his practice Jody joined the team at WFA in August 2020.
Jody is engaged in his community and his commitment to service speaks for itself. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. where he coordinates several community service activities. An active donor and judge for the Caddo Schools Amazing Shake Program, High School Volunteer for Junior Achievement, serves as the RYLA Directory for his local Rotary club, and actively advocates for financial literacy in his community.
Jody and his lovely wife Ria have made Bossier City, LA their home. Jody is a loving and active father to his daughter Kamryn and son Jamieson.
