Why Clients Work With Their WFA Advisor
We believe in dreaming big, growing gracefully, and planning for your next life chapter.
The WFA team focuses on you and the life you want to live today, tomorrow, every day. At WFA, we understand that every client is unique. We take the time to get to know who you are — your hopes, your dreams, your fears — and what you want to achieve. We work side-by-side with you throughout your life’s journey by providing thoughtful financial life planning and professionally managed investment portfolios.
We call it... Plan. Invest. Inspire.
At WFA, through our relationship with RFG Advisory and its Bluemonte platform, you have access to Chief Investment Office Rick Wedell who can, who can analyze and review your entire investment portfolio, and make custom recommendations based on your goals and objectives. Prior to joining our partner firm, RFG Advisory, Rick spent 12 years at Bain Capital Credit where he rose through the ranks to become Executive Vice President, Head of Fixed Income Consumer Investments, and Assistant Portfolio Manager. Rick earned an MBA from Stanford University and B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Harvard University (Magna Cum Laude).

The Pink House
A place that feels like home where anyone can learn more about money.
During Covid when the world shut down and at a time where Chase and Dany were studying for more designations, we found ourselves working from home a bit more. At the same time, Dany’s wife Lindsi‘s business, Well Fed Louisiana, was shut down on the inside and doing delivery only. Lindsi‘s business is in an old home built in the early 1900s and the pink house set vacant right next-door. As Chase and Dany were studying and working from the front counter bar of Well Fed looking out onto Egan St in the quiet, the pink house stood out as a place that could serve that same purpose.
A think tank for local business owners.
WFA bought and renovated the old house next-door and converted it into their second location in Shreveport. In doing so, they have brought an entirely different feel to the financial services industry. The pink house is a place that feels more like a home than an office, which allows a different demographic of people, from young kids wanting to learn more about money, to athletes, to just the normal mom and pop, to feel more comfortable about talking money. It also brought on restoration of an area in town that was not considered one of the best places to have a business. Well Fed Louisiana and WFA have now transformed what is known as Egan St in the Highland district in Shreveport into a “cool spot."
The pink house has a big front porch, a nice back patio, 2 sitting areas, desk space for 6 people, and even has a music room in the back. It houses current technology for meetings on the big TV surrounded by autographed jerseys from local and professional athletes. The tree of life, the logo for WFA, is really prominent in the pink house. There are multiple symbols of that throughout the house as well as local art as the decor.
It is 100+ year old house that now serves as a think tank for local business owners as well as an office for the WFA team during periods of time were office work needs to get done. More client meetings are transitioning to the Pink House due to the comfortable feel an atmosphere that has been created as well as the benefit to the community it serves.
WFA Through The Years
Founded in 1997
Williams Financial Advisors was founded by Tommy Williams in 1997. In 1974 Tommy was hired out of Louisiana Tech by an oil and gas firm and he subsequently held various positions in Human Resources both domestically and internationally. In 1986 he entered the investment advisory business and worked with a group of partners until 1997. At that point, he desired to build a client-centered, high-touch service-oriented firm which was the birth of Williams Financial Advisors.
The Community Responded Very Well
Focusing on the seeing the world through the eyes of a client, the firm transformed their client experience with the help of professional coaches beginning in 2007. The driving goal was to identify client needs before they realized they had them and to pair that with a clear focus on the value of comprehensive wealth management through Financial Planning. This deep work done more than 15 years ago continues to reverberate through our hallways and informs the approach we take to serving our clients today.
Growing the Organization
Realizing that to build a firm worthy of a multi-generational legacy and not just a successful advisor with clients, Tommy set out to build a team of talented Advisors. In 2010 Chase Crump joined the firm. With his MBA (and Certified Financial Planner designation) he was instrumental in expanding the firm's reach with fresh ideas and the ability to grow the client base.
In 2015 Dany Martin and Steve Carney joined the firm following investment advisory careers in banking. Perhaps the biggest “next level” step occurred in 2015 when Williams Financial Advisors formed a partnership with RFG Advisory headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. This relationship opened the door to innovative technology, “in house” institutional experienced asset management with Rick Wedell as a Chief Investment Officer through the Bluemonte platform.
One may ask why do you need four Advisors, five professional administrative team members, in-house institutional asset management, state-of-the-art technology, and comprehensive financial?
At WFA we believe that to meet client needs today and, in the future, you must be willing to invest extraordinary
resources in tech and talent. Only 1% separates Good from Excellent. We pursue excellence!
Our Team makes us Great
We believe in the power of 5. You are only as strong as those people closest to you.
As a firm, we’ve been positively impacted by attracting and retaining key team members; without their commitment to service and love of our clients we would not be who we are today. Sharon Harmon was hired in 1999 and was key to our high degree of organizational strength for over 20 years. Sadly, Sharon passed away after a fierce battle against cancer in 2022 and we miss her greatly. In 2004 Amanda Miniutti joined the firm bringing an extraordinary talent that blends analytical and administrative skills seldom seen in the financial services industry. In 2006 Debbye Haywood came onboard bringing 28 years of administrative experience with the largest financial firms in the industry and retired recently in 2022. In 2010 Nicole Kyle stepped into her role adding substantial strength to our administrative team and deepening our relationships with clients. In 2015 April Lodatto became a member of our team adding another very capable client services coordinator. Most recently we’ve added Kristi Jones to spearhead our client experience and internal marketing and Amy Wiseman for additional administrative bench strength to our team.
We Provide High Quality Services
Through strategic succession planning, Chase Crump, Dany Martin, and Steve Carney took over ownership of the firm in 2018. Our intent is to build on our proud legacy to continue to provide perpetual world-class service and deliver an exceptional experience to our clients that lets them know how much we appreciate them and that they are very special.
To celebrate our successful transition to the second generation of talented Advisors at the helm, we rebranded the firm to WFA and adopted the Tree of Life as our logo. Why the Tree of Life? We have a deep belief that the most precious gift we can give others is quality of life. We plan to continue to make a positive impact on the quality of our valued clients’ lives and those in the community in which we serve – today and in generations to come.

Impacting Our Community + The Pink House
In 2021, WFA expanded its presence in Shreveport by restoring the Pink House at 672 Egan Street. The firm also opened a third location in New Roads, LA to broaden its reach and deepen our roots. The company strengthened its community service with the addition of two new events: Yoga Farm Fest and Sip, Shop, and Santa to support local businesses and raise money for Common Ground Community, a non-profit that supports children in need. We also actively volunteer our time in schools, coaching on fields, and Junior Achievement, where we mentor high school students about entrepreneurship and teach them basic skills.
