Dany Martin, a south Louisiana native but Shreveport resident, was in search of a service-oriented, innovative and proactive wealth management organization. He wanted a team that focused on exceeding clients’ needs and upholding the highest standard of service. His mission is to be a student of life and educate others about the profound, positive impact that sound financial planning will have on peoples’ lives and on their families. He also is a huge advocate of positive thinking and leadership.
Dany’s passion for helping others strive for financial health started during his high school years when residual income and the idea of having money work for you crossed his desk. He further pursued his enthusiasm for business and finance during college, where he attended Northwestern State University. During those 4 years in Natchitoches, he achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and was an active member and treasurer of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He has a passion for rock music-primarily that of the late 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. He thoroughly enjoys professional baseball, though he supports no specific team (primarily pulls for the presumed underdog).
Jody Jarriet Bluitt is a dynamic and extraordinary man who has a heart for others and strives to give back to his community. Jody grew up in a strict military household, where he learned discipline, respect, adaptability, strength, compassion, leadership and gratitude and was taught that with hard work, he could achieve anything. With his father being tragically killed by a drunk driver at the age of eighteen, Jody acted upon the life lessons that his father poured into him and worked exceptionally hard to achieve his education from Northwestern State University after transferring from Xavier University to be closer to home.
Because of this tragic life-changing event and his struggles as a young man, Jody decided to become a wealth manager. Inspired by one of his favorite quotes by Henry David Thoreau, “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined,” Jody is extremely passionate about helping other families achieve peace of mind by educating and advising them on financial investments and preparing them to pursue life goals.
Jody started his career straight out of college as a financial advisor at Capital One (from 2014 – 2018), where he was originally hired by current WFA advisors Dany Martin and Stephen Carney. After Capital One Investing closed its doors in February 2018, Jody was recruited by many firms, but ultimately chose to work with Merrill Lynch as a financial wealth manager. At Merrill Lynch, he gained a wealth of knowledge in wealth management and financial planning. Jody joined the team at WFA in August 2020.
Jody is engaged in his community, and his commitment to service speaks for itself. He is an active donor and judge for the Caddo Schools Amazing Shake Program, High School Volunteer for Junior Achievement and actively advocates for financial literacy in his community.
Jody and his lovely wife Ria have made Bossier City, LA, their home. Jody is the father of one daughter and has two dogs, a Maltipoo and an Italian stafford. Jody is a family man and relishes spending time with his wife and daughter. He enjoys golfing, reading, cooking, traveling and worshiping at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Benton, LA.
